Nurturing experiences with state-of-the-art interiors

One of the largest skincare clinics in the city, Nava Clinic’s brief was for a design that was cutting edge yet minimal. The standards of the practitioners required it to be state-of-the-art and experiential while also ensuring a calming and confidence-inducing ambience for patients.

The shell of the project is built in levelled ceilings with stretch fabric lighting, engaging walls with angled patterns filled in wood or colour and a rather simple flooring in concrete tiles with angles of terrazzo and
brass inlay.

The highlight of the project is the lounge space where we worked to encapsulate the feel and comfort of a spa lounge. During the day, the space is illuminated by the large glazing behind the clusters of planters on a pebble bed. At nighttime, the stretch fabric ceiling replicates sunlight and keeps the space bright and ambient.

The project accommodates various interesting elements finished in a combination of simple materials giving it an eclectic look and feel. Terrazzo stone in combination with light wood veneer and evergreen concrete textures have been widely used throughout the space. Tan leather sofas were paired with short and comfortable armchairs without any bulky sections to ensure that the furniture had minimal detailing and was easy on the eye.

The entrance of the clinic welcomes a visitor with a featured reception flowing seamlessly with the terrazzo flooring in combination with concrete and brass profiles. The well-lit stretch fabric ceiling keeps the space illuminated apart from the recessed track lights that suspend can lights.
Ferns, palms and other large, leafy plants add an additional layer of soothing vibes to the ambience.

Movable wooden partitions are another focal point that maintains some much-needed privacy between the waiting area and the consultation rooms. The partitions are suspended from the ceiling and exude the illusion of floating in the air.

The design for the rooms in the clinic are both modern and on point with current trends. The MD’s cabin has large windows that allow sunlight to stream in on the combination of concrete and terrazzo flooring with brass transitions profile and knotty veneer panelling and storage units in pastel shades. Surface recessed linear lights in the ceiling add to the ambience.

Both cabins have bespoke designs that match the personalities of the practitioners implicitly. One is dark themed and the other is light with veneer wrapping from the wall to the table. Italian texture paint gives a finishing touch to the entire frame and makes the space more engaging.
In conclusion, the design style for the project is a tie between eclectic and modern design with state of the art elements. A neutral palette with earthy and warm tones was chosen and tweaked with different elements to ensure a creative yet functional space.
