Delhi-based interior designer and stylist Sanjyt Syngh, known for his bold and creative ideas, has launched a new furniture series inspired by the Suprematism movement. The first in the line, an elegant dining table, is characterized by simple geometric shapes and details.
With eternal geometry as its main characteristics, the designer distills
the Suprematism influences to conceive simple and clean geometric
shapes and forms that give the imposing dining table its distinguished
look. “The reason for its simplicity and clearness is to ensure that the
Suprematism inspiration looks appropriate in such small dimensions,”
says Sanjyt Syngh.
The Suprematism concept is demonstrated in the play of varied shapes
like triangles, cuboids and rectangles that embellish the graceful dining
table. Apart from a play of shapes, the dining table also sees a medley
of materials. It is made of wood, stone and brass, bringing a rich, multi-
material grandeur to the piece of furniture. While the brass details add
a touch of glamour.
